Since making his NRL debut in 2014, Sorensen has played upwards of 140 first-grade games across stints with the Cronulla Sharks, Canberra Raiders and Penrith Panthers. He was an integral member of Penrith’s four consecutive premiership-winning teams from 2021 to 2024.
Carrying one of the most famous surnames in New Zealand rugby league, Scott Sorensen followed in the footsteps of his grandfather Bill, an outstanding five-eighth in the 1950s, and uncles Dane and Kurt, who were engine-room stars in the 1970s and ’80s, by earning selection in New Zealand’s 2022 World Cup squad.
In 2025, Sorensen featured in 18 matches, helping the Panthers reach the preliminary final.
