Panthers would like to pay tribute to honoured citizen Mr Ron Mulock AO, who passed away peacefully during the night.
A message from Chairman Mr Don Feltis OAM –
We would like to acknowledge the loyalty, friendship and significant support that Mr Mulock AO has given to rugby league, to Panthers and the City of Penrith over a lifetime.
Mr Mulock AO was an alderman of Penrith City Council, Mayor of Penrith, a member of the NSW Parliament, the Deputy Premier of NSW, and was awarded the Order of Australia Honour in 1989.
Mr Mulock AO has also been a faithful and enduring member and supporter of Panthers since the club’s inception in 1967 and was a patron for over 30 years and was honoured with a life membership in 1989. Mr Mulock AO was also acknowledged by Penrith City Council as an honoured citizen of Penrith in 2003.
Mr Mulock AO loved the Panthers, the club and the Penrith community, and as a mark of the high esteem he was held in he was further honoured in 2012 with the re-naming of a major function room at the club – The Ron Mulock AO Room.
On behalf of everyone at Panthers, I extend our deepest sympathy and respect to the Mulock family at this sad time.
