Tom Jenkins produced a breakout 2026 season, establishing himself as one of the NRL’s most prolific try-scorers while rewriting the Panthers’ record books along the way.
The winger was rewarded for his campaign with the Ken Irvine Medal and Dally M Winger of the Year, finishing the season with 30 tries to equal the NRL’s leading try-scoring tally.
Jenkins’ 30 tries also saw him break the Panthers’ single-season record, surpassing Rhys Wesser’s long-standing mark of 25 tries set in 2003.
Tom Jenkins' record-breaking Try
The record-breaking run began almost immediately, with Jenkins scoring 12 tries across the opening five rounds to become the first player in premiership history to reach that mark.
He continued his hot start in Round 5 against the Melbourne Storm, producing one of the season’s most spectacular tries. Chasing down a short 10-metre drop-out, Jenkins leapt high to take the ball cleanly before racing past the defence to score.
Tom Jenkins SECOND Try
His try-scoring form showed no signs of slowing, with Jenkins making history as the first player to score multiple tries in seven consecutive matches.
Against the Sydney Roosters, Jenkins crossed for four tries, continuing his incredible early-season run and establishing himself as one of the Panthers’ most dangerous attacking weapons.
Jenkins crosses for FOUR
By Round 18, Jenkins had taken his season tally to 25 tries with a hat-trick. He also ran for 169 metres, made two line breaks and recorded a game-high nine tackle breaks in a dominant display on the left edge.
Milky HAT-TRICK
His record-breaking campaign continued into the final rounds.
In Round 27, Jenkins produced another influential attacking performance, running for 271 metres from 23 carries and providing four line break assists. His double took him to 30 tries for the season, drawing him level with Alex Johnston for the competition’s leading try-scoring tally and setting a new Panthers record.
