The Panthers returned to Mudgee in style, avenging last year's Miracle in Mudgee defeat with a commanding 42-18 victory over Canberra to maintain their spot at the top of the NRL ladder. Nathan Cleary and Jack Cogger controlled proceedings throughout, while Liam Martin and Tom Jenkins both bagged doubles in a clinical attacking display.
Cleary finished with three try assists and seven goals, while Jenkins continued his remarkable season with another two-try haul to take his tally to 28 for the year. Martin crossed twice in the opening half to lay the platform, with Jaxen Edgar, Liam Henry and Isaiah Papali'i also getting on the scoresheet as Penrith ran in seven tries.
