Stat Attack: Panthers v Raiders

The Panthers produced another complete performance to claim a commanding 42-18 victory over the Raiders in Mudgee, avenging last year's Miracle in Mudgee defeat while strengthening their grip on top spot on the NRL ladder.

Liam Martin and Tom Jenkins both crossed for doubles in a clinical first-half display. Martin struck twice inside the opening 20 minutes to swing momentum back Penrith's way, while Jenkins continued his remarkable try-scoring campaign with another brace. The winger also ran for 244 metres from 21 carries, adding three tackle breaks in another industrious performance out wide.

Marto's FIRST EVER double

Nathan Cleary controlled the contest from start to finish, finishing with three try assists, four line break assists, 484 kicking metres and a perfect seven-from-seven off the tee. Jack Cogger provided the perfect foil with two try assists, while Casey McLean and Izack Tago each registered a try assist and line break to keep the Raiders' defence under constant pressure.

Another Milky double

Isaah Yeo once again led from the front, topping the tackle count with a game-high 55 while also running for 179 metres from 20 carries and producing two line break assists. Brian To'o laid the platform with 195 running metres, while Casey McLean (158m), Isaiah Papali'i (156m), Jaxen Edgar (141m) and Liam Henry (139m) all made strong contributions through the middle and on the edges.

Edgar's first NRL try

Papali'i was among Penrith's most damaging forwards, scoring late to cap off an impressive display that included two line breaks, six tackle breaks, 156 running metres and 32 tackles. Henry also impressed at both ends of the field, crossing for a second-half try while adding 139 running metres, four tackle breaks and 30 tackles.

Unstoppable horse

Defensively, the Panthers set the tone with Yeo (55 tackles), Freddy Lussick (49), Papali'i (32), Henry (30), Martin (29), Moses Leota (28) and Lindsay Smith (27) all getting through plenty of work as Penrith suffocated the Raiders for long periods.

Ice with the put down

The Panthers combined relentless defence with clinical finishing, running in seven tries and controlling the contest from the opening exchanges to record another statement victory ahead of a blockbuster fortnight against the Warriors and Roosters.
