Junior Reps Results: Round 6

The Penrith Panthers U16s fell 24–10 in a hard-fought match, showing strong effort throughout despite the result. The Panthers struck early through Zack Fitzgerald, who crossed in the 10th minute. The team kept working and was rewarded late when Ezekiel Tutaia scored in the 56th minute, with Jaylin Moran adding the conversion to reduce the margin. Despite their determination and late points, the Panthers were unable to close the gap, finishing the match with a 24–10 defeat. 

SG Ball

The Panthers secured a thrilling 20–18 victory in a tightly contested match. Hunter Bell opened the scoring early with a try in the 8th minute, before Ellyjah Birve crossed just before halftime to keep the Panthers in front. In the second half, Thomas Goodfield powered over in the 47th minute to extend the lead, and Birve grabbed his second try of the match in the 54th minute. Owen Knowles added two conversions, helping the Panthers edge ahead and hold on in the closing stages to seal a hard-fought two-point victory.

Tarsha Gale

The Penrith Panthers Tarsha Gale Cup side secured a hard-fought 22–16 victory over the Newcastle Knights. Jade Elford opened the scoring in the 33rd minute before Samantha Hanrahan crossed three minutes later to give Penrith momentum heading into halftime. After the break, Naioka Tuipulotu extended the lead with a try in the 45th minute before Mylei Palmer-Vaivao sealed the win with the Panthers’ fourth in the 59th minute. Goal kicker Tameika Clarke was reliable with the boot, converting three of four attempts with successful kicks in the 35th, 47th and 59th minutes to help secure the six-point win.

Lisa Fiaola 

The Penrith Panthers Lisa Fiaola Cup side fell 24–18 to the Newcastle Knights despite a strong effort. Penrith struck early through Summer Knowles in just the 2nd minute, with Isabella Ferguson converting to give the Panthers an early lead. Raevyn Szabo added to the scoreline with tries in the 24th and 51st minutes, both converted by Ferguson, who finished the match with three goals from three attempts, but the Knights ultimately edged ahead to claim the six-point victory.
