Stat Attack: Panthers v Broncos

The Penrith Panthers kicked off their 2026 campaign in dominant fashion with a 26-0 victory over the Brisbane Broncos in Round 1.

Fullback Dylan Edwards led the way with a huge performance, racking up 260 run metres from 25 carries, along with 69 post-contact metres, seven tackle breaks and a try in a powerful all-round display.

Outside backs Thomas Jenkins and Brian To'o also dominated the yardage battle. Jenkins finished with 202 run metres, eight tackle breaks and two tries, while To’o added 175 metres and 51 post-contact metres.

Captain Isaah Yeo again set the standard through the middle, finishing with 165 run metres, 63 post-contact metres and 28 tackles without a miss, while Isaiah Papali'i matched him defensively with 28 tackles (0 misses) and added 112 metres with the ball.

Hooker Mitch Kenny topped the defensive count with 30 tackles, while edge forward Luke Garner was influential on both sides of the ball with 132 run metres, five tackle breaks, 23 tackles and a line break.
