Kikau challenges dangerous throw charge

Panthers forward Viliame Kikau has entered a plea of not guilty to a dangerous throw charge which threatens to rule him out of the club's upcoming Preliminary Final.

Kikau will appear before the NRL Judiciary on Tuesday night in an attempt to have the grade one charge dismissed.

A guilty verdict will see Kikau serve a one-match suspension, as he would have also done if he entered an early guilty plea to the charge.

The tackle in question occurred in the 8th minute of the Panthers' thrilling Qualifying Final victory over Sydney Roosters.
