Ellis granted release by Panthers

Penrith Panthers can confirm Kaide Ellis has been released from the final five months of his contract to pursue an opportunity at another NRL club.

The 23-year-old forward was a member of the premiership-winning Panthers NYC side in 2015 and won the state championship title with the Panthers ISP side in 2017.

Ellis achieved his NRL debut in 2018 and made eight NRL appearances in Panthers colours.

“Kaide was presented with the opportunity to immediately secure a regular NRL role at another club and we believe he has earned the right to pursue that opportunity,” Panthers General Manager Matt Cameron said.

“Kaide has given the Panthers club great service over a number of years and we wish him the best of luck with his future endeavours.”
