Injury Update: Viliame Kikau

Scans have revealed the full extent of the knee injury suffered by Panthers forward Viliame Kikau in the win against Canberra Raiders on Friday.

Kikau has been diagnosed with a grade one MCL tear which will see him sidelined for at least two weeks.

The 23-year-old suffered the injury during the first half at GIO Stadium and failed to return to the field after being assessed by Panthers medical staff at half-time.

He joins a Panthers rehab group that currently includes Josh Mansour (face), Waqa Blake (ankle), Peter Wallace (shoulder), Moses Leota (pectoral) and Sam McKendry (ACL).

Kikau's replacement in the Panthers side to face Sydney Roosters will be revealed when coach Anthony Griffin names his squad on Tuesday.
