The Panthers Tarsha Gale Cup side eased their way to a convincing 42-20 win over Parramatta Eels at St Marys Leagues Stadium on Saturday.
On the back of a tough victory over Canberra, the Panthers were desperate for the two points against their traditional rivals.
A focus on ball control and completing their sets gave Penrith a bevy of attacking opportunities in the first half and they took full advantage.
With the forwards laying a strong platform for the speedy outside backs, the Panthers enjoyed a decisive 30-8 lead at the break.
In the final quarter Penrith dropped their intensity and the Eels hit back with two converted tries to add some respectability to the final scoreline.
"This was the best I have seen the side play so far and I'm pleased with how some of our players stepped up," Panthers coach Robbie Taylor said.
"We showed more enthusiasm and we are starting to see some combinations forming.
"We took our foot off the pedal in the final quarter but overall the signs are positive."
The Panthers will next face Sydney Indigenous Academy at Henson Park on Saturday afternoon.
