The inaugural Panthers Regional Academy Program has commenced with high performance staff meeting with coaches and trainers in Dubbo, Forbes and Bathurst this week.
The Panthers program aims to assist the CRL with the coaching of the Western Rams representative teams that will compete in the Southern Conference of the 2018 Country Championships.
On Tuesday night Academy Coach Ben Harden and Academy Strength Coach Sam Jones ran an in-depth education session for Western Rams coaches and trainers at Caltex Park in Dubbo. The Panthers pair provided an overview of the upcoming program and responded to questions.
The Regional Academy Program will be run using facilities at St Johns College in Dubbo, Red Bend Catholic College in Forbes and Charles Sturt University in Bathurst.
Panthers is enormously appreciative of the support of these institutions with respect to the use of fields and gym spaces.
The Western Rams have been very successful in the Country Championships over the last few seasons. Now and into the future Panthers looks forward to complementing the great work being done by the regional coaches.
Having laid the groundwork in Dubbo, Harden and Jones will meet with coaches in Forbes on Wednesday and Bathurst on Thursday.
