Stat Attack: Panthers v Roosters

The Panthers booked their place in a seventh-straight preliminary final with a hard-fought 19-12 victory over the Roosters at CommBank Stadium.

Nathan Cleary delivered when it mattered most, kicking the match-winning field goal in the 70th minute and finishing with two try assists, a line break, a line break assist and 475 kicking metres.

Dylan Edwards was immense at the back, running for a game-high 264 metres from 35 carries, while also scoring a crucial try and making a line break.

Brian To'o provided plenty of punch on the left edge, finishing with 210 run metres from 20 carries before sealing the victory with a late 40-metre effort to score in the 77th minute.

Tom Jenkins also made his presence felt with 171 run metres from 22 runs, while Isaiah Papali'i (143m) and Casey McLean (131m) helped the Panthers win the battle through the middle and out wide.

Defensively, Liam Martin led the way with 42 tackles, followed by Mitch Kenny with 40 and Liam Henry with 37.

The Panthers held their nerve to secure the win and earn a week off before the preliminary final.
