Pathways Wrapped: Finals Week One

The Panthers NSW Cup side secured the minor premiership and enjoyed a Week One finals bye, while the NSW Women’s Premiership and Jersey Flegg sides kicked off their finals campaigns.

NSW Cup 

After a well-deserved bye, the Panthers will return to action in Week Two of the finals, taking on the Knights at 5:15pm Saturday 12 September at Leichhardt Oval.

Panthers NSW Women’s Premiership

The NSW Women's finals campaign got off to a tough start, going down 32-16 to the Rabbitohs in Week One at Leichhardt Oval.

Trailing 16-4 at halftime, the Panthers fought back in the second half with tries to Aaliyah Boland (33’), Chloe Pallisier (57’) and Olive Connolly (63’), with Claudia Bush converting two of the three tries.

The Panthers will now face a do-or-die clash against the Mounties on Sunday 13 September.

Panthers Jersey Flegg

The Panthers have started their finals campaign with a strong 28-20 victory over the Bulldogs at Leichhardt Oval.

The Jersey Flegg side dominated the opening half, racing to an 18-0 lead thanks to tries from Harry Wald (3’), Buster Hindmarsh (18’), Cameron Kanaan (22’) and Tuaomaliemavaitoelau Patea (29’).

Wald and Kanaan both crossed again in the second half, while Kye Raven added two conversions to help seal the 28-20 victory.

Sitting second on the ladder, the Panthers will now take on first-placed Dragons in a top-of-the-table finals clash at 3pm Saturday 12 September at Leichhardt Oval.
