Panthers extend Paul Alamoti

Penrith Panthers are pleased to announce the re-signing of outside back Paul Alamoti until at least the end of the 2029 NRL season.

Already contracted for the 2027 season, Alamoti has added a further two years to his deal.

The 22-year-old made his NRL debut for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in 2023 before joining the Panthers ahead of the 2024 season.

Alamoti has played 74 NRL matches, including Penrith’s 2024 premiership victory, in which he scored a try in the Grand Final. He has also represented Tonga on four occasions.

A Milperra Colts junior, Alamoti was selected in the Australian Schoolboys merit team in 2019 and represented New South Wales in the Under-19s State of Origin in 2020.

Panthers General Manager of Rugby League Shane Elford said the club was pleased to secure Alamoti’s long-term future.

“Paul has continued to grow as a player since joining the Panthers and has become an important member of our squad,” Elford said.

“He has shown his ability to perform on the biggest stage and, at just 22 years of age, still has plenty of improvement ahead of him.

“We’re delighted that Paul has committed his future to the club and look forward to seeing him continue in Panthers colours until at least the end of 2029.”
