The Panthers produced a thrilling performance to defeat the New Zealand Warriors 20-18, with several players delivering standout displays in a hard-fought victory.

Stepping up as captain with Isaah Yeo and Nathan Cleary rested, Dylan Edwards led with a magnificent all-round performance. The fullback ran for 219 metres from 25 carries, broke six tackles, set up a try and produced several crucial defensive plays to help secure the win.

Casey McLean was electric on the wing, scoring a double while racking up 158 running metres from 18 carries. He also recorded a line break and a try assist in another impressive display.

Paul Alamoti also crossed for two tries and made 181 metres from 21 runs. The centre added two line breaks and kicked two conversions to cap off a strong performance.

Filling in for the rested Nathan Cleary, Jack Cogger controlled the game with composure. The halfback finished with two try assists, a line break assist and 410 kicking metres.

Isaiah Papali'i was a powerhouse through the middle, contributing a line break assist and making 43 tackles in a tireless defensive effort.
