The Penrith Panthers continued their strong start to the 2026 season with a convincing 26-6 victory over the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks in Round 2 at Carrington Park.

Fullback Dylan Edwards again led the yardage battle with an outstanding display, racking up 206 run metres from 24 carries, along with 57 post-contact metres and a try assist in a tireless performance at the back.

Outside backs Brian To'o and Thomas Jenkins were also crucial in attack. To’o finished with 174 run metres, 41 post-contact metres, nine tackle breaks and a try, while Jenkins crossed for a double, adding 144 run metres and two line breaks.

Co-captain Nathan Cleary controlled proceedings with a try, 4/4 goals, 669 kicking metres, 144 run metres and a line break in a commanding performance. Casey McLean also impressed on the edge, finishing with 144 run metres, 47 post-contact metres and a try assist.

Hooker Mitch Kenny led the defensive effort with a game-high 44 tackles, while forwards Luke Garner (38 tackles), Isaiah Papali'i (37 tackles, 134 metres) and captain Isaah Yeo (37 tackles, 46 post-contact metres) were instrumental through the middle.
