Two Panthers selected for second Ashes Test

Panthers pair Nathan Cleary and Lindsay Smith have been named by Kangaroos coach Kevin Walters for the second Ashes Test at Hill Dickinson Stadium, Liverpool.

Cleary retains the no. 7 jersey for Australia following his strong performance in the Kangaroos dominant 26-6 win over England to open the series at Wembley Stadium.

Smith has been selected to make his second Test cap for Australia from the bench, replacing Kangaroos captain and Panthers teammate Isaah Yeo in the only change to the squad.

Highlights: First Ashes Test

Yeo suffered a head injury in the early stages of play at Wembley, automatically ruling him out of the second Test. He is expected to be available for the third match in Leeds.

The second Ashes Test kicks off on Sunday 2 November at 1:30am (AEDT).
