Panthers Sport & Business Program underway with SEDA

The Panthers Sport & Business Program, powered by SEDA, is up and running with 29 students undertaking the course in its inaugural year.

A key part of the Panthers Foundation's education pillar, the program offers students access to an elite sporting environment while completing a dual diploma in Sport and Business.

Participating students undertake SIS50321 Diploma of Sport and BSB50120 Diploma of Business qualifications.

"The quality of experience that students are getting through this program is exceptional," said Jess Bustin, SEDA Program Manager.

"We could not be happier with the opportunity for both personal and professional development that our partnership with Panthers is facilitating."

Alongside their studies, the 2025 cohort has undertaken workplace experiences with Panthers across a range of business functions.

The students have played a key role in bringing the Panthers transition to CommBank Stadium to life, coached on Panthers community sports clinics, and supported the club's membership, merchandise, marketing and sponsorship departments.

"The opportunities we have had access to across the club - in the office, at training and on gamedays - has been amazing," said Caleb Vanderwert of the 2025 cohort.

To be able to work across the various departments at Panthers has been incredibly insightful and allowed us to better understand what it means to work in sport.
