Sorensen faces suspension

Panthers forward Scott Sorensen has been charged twice by the NRL Match Review Committee following Saturday’s win over the Warriors.

Sorensen received a Grade 2 dangerous contact charge on Warriors winger Dallin Watene-Zelezniak in the 36th minute of the Round 16 clash.

The charge carries a two-match suspension with an early guilty plea, or a potential three-match ban if he chooses to contest it at the judiciary.

He was also cited for a Grade 1 high tackle on Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad in the 67th minute, which carries a monetary fine only.

The Panthers have until 12pm Monday to enter their pleas for both charges.
