Panthers trio charged following Sea Eagles clash

Panthers trio Scott Sorensen, Casey McLean and Dylan Edwards have been charged by the NRL Match Review Committee following Saturday night’s Round 8 clash against the Sea Eagles.

Sorensen faces a Grade 2 shoulder charge for his tackle on Sea Eagles forward Nathan Brown in the 33rd minute.

Sorensen is looking at a two-match suspension with an early guilty plea, or a three-match ban if he chooses to contest the charge and is unsuccessful.

Meanwhile, McLean and Edwards have both received fines for Grade 1 offences.

McLean was cited for a careless high tackle on Tom Trbojevic, while Edwards was charged with tripping Sea Eagles player Tommy Talau.

The Panthers have until 12pm on Monday to enter pleas.
