Kenny accepts ban for dangerous tackle

Panthers hooker Mitch Kenny has accepted a two-game suspension after being charged by the NRL Match Review Committee following Saturday night’s victory over the Roosters.

Kenny was cited for a Grade 2 Dangerous Contact offence stemming from a tackle on Roosters forward Nat Butcher in the fourth minute of the Round 7 match.

As a result, he will be sidelined for this Saturday’s clash against the Sea Eagles at CommBank Stadium, as well as the Magic Round showdown with the Broncos at Suncorp Stadium.

Kenny is eligible to return in Round 10 when the Panthers face the Cowboys at Queensland Country Bank Stadium.
