Westfund Man of the Month: July

Westfund Man of the Month: July

The Panthers had a perfect record throughout July with victories over the Broncos, Dolphins and Dragons.

Fresh off an Origin series victory Jarome Luai took the game to the opposition with a targeted kicking (581 kicking metres & 2 forced drop outs) and running game (285 running metres) in just two appearances.

Hard-working prop Lindsay Smith showed off his attacking skills against the Broncos with a pin-point grubber setting up a decisive try for Brian To'o. The St Mary's junior also scored a try against the Dragons and averaged 33 tackles and 93 running metres in July.

Nathan Cleary returned from an extended injury layoff and reminded everyone what he brings to the game. The Iceman sealed a dramatic golden point victory against the Dolphins with a 43-metre field goal before scoring 26 points (hat-trick and seven conversions) in a dominant performance against the Dragons.

Meanwhile Scott Sorensen averaged 135 running metres (153 total post contact) and 36 tackles (93% tackle efficiency) while scoring his 11th try of his career against the Dragons in Wollongong.
