2024 Ampol State of Origin: Everything you need to know

The 2024 Ampol State of Origin series heads to Melbourne on June 27 with the Blues desperate to keep the series alive. 

Only once before have New South Wales come back from 1-0 down in the series to win back the Origin shield – exactly 30 years ago when they won games in Melbourne and Brisbane, the same schedule which awaits them in 2024.

Ampol Men's State of Origin schedule

  • Origin II – Wednesday, June 26, 8.05pm at Melbourne Cricket Ground
  • Origin III – Wednesday, July 17, 8.05pm at Suncorp Stadium 

Federation Square event

Watch the Queensland and New South Wales captains and coaches pre-match press conference live in Federation Square on Tuesday, June 25. Catch the players and coaches and hear their thoughts on the game from 12.30pm!

Today Show live cross

Join the Today Show on game day morning (Wednesday, June 26) from 5.30am in Federation Square in Melbourne with Origin ticket giveaways, past and present players of the game and a free breakfast for those there!

Transport Information

To ensure you are inside the ground in time for kick-off, please arrive early and leave plenty of time for the entry process. The MCG is a cashless venue. All food, beverage, merchandise and ticketing outlets will be cashless, so transactions need to be made on a debit or credit card.

Accessibility

The G-Train Mobility Shuttle Service operates during public events held at the MCG. The service is free and accessible to patrons with mobility challenges. The G-Train also features vehicles with wheelchair-friendly access.

Pre-booking is not required; simply wait at a designated pick up point for the next available buggy. The service has pick up points from the following locations:

  • Richmond Station
  • Jolimont Station
  • Accessible Parking Area
