Westfund Man of the Month: March

Westfund Man of the Month: March 2024

The Panthers have commenced the season with three victories from their opening four fixtures throughout the opening month of the competition.

Ever present fullback Dylan Edwards continues to keep the statisticians busy. He averaged 253m per game, made 18 tackle breaks and scored two four-pointers, including a superb try against the Roosters in the Round 4 showdown at Allianz Stadium.

Izack Tago has created plenty of havoc for edge defenders recording 19 tackle breaks, three tries and as many try assists in March. The Samoan international who recently committed his future to the club with a long-term contract extension had standout games at home against both the Eels and Broncos.

Sunia Turuva's six tries in the opening month of footy puts him atop the NRL try scorers list with Dragon Tyrell Sloan.  The Fijian flyer also provided plenty of support to our forward pack, making 179 post contact metres and 14 tackle breaks.

Kiwi international and triple premiership winner Moses Leota led the charge through the middle third of the field, powering to 461 running metres through the heart of the opposition defence. Moses also made 79 tackles with a tackle efficiency of 89% and scored a highlight reel four-pointer against the Eels.
