Luai cops two charges

Panthers five-eighth Jarome Luai has received two charges from the NRL Match Review Committee following Friday night’s win over Parramatta at BlueBet Stadium.

Luai was handed a Grade 1 Careless High Tackle charge for contact on Eels winger Bailey Simonsson in the 2nd minute of the Round 2 match.

The Panthers five-eighth was also charged with Dangerous Contact (Grade 1) for a trip on Eels halfback Mitch Moses in the 21st minute.

With both charges being Grade 1 offenses, Luai will only face monetary penalties and is eligible to play in Thursday night’s match against Brisbane Broncos at BlueBet Stadium.
