Panthers consolidate top four position

Panthers have consolidated their place in the top four with a 28-12 win over Parramatta Eels at Kellyville Park on Saturday afternoon.

The victory is the side’s fourth straight as they make a charge towards the finals.

Following an early Parramatta penalty goal, it was Panthers lock Hohepa Puru who scored the first try of the afternoon to give his side a 6-2 lead.

The away side’s advantage was extended by six points when Sam Lane crossed and Addison Williams added the extras.

Just as the Panthers were drawing away from their opponents, the Eels hit back through tries to Saxon Pryke in the 29th minutes and Lachlan Blackburn 10 minutes later.

With the game set for a grandstand finish, the Panthers went to a new gear and found three tries in the final 18 minutes of the game to seal the result.

Williams bagged a four-pointer to go with his four goals, while Puru bagged a double and Keagan Russell-Smith claimed the final try of the afternoon.

The Panthers will be aiming for five-straight wins when they host Wests Tigers at BlueBet Stadium next Saturday.
