Kikau and Finucane charged

Panthers forward Viliame Kikau has been charged by the NRL Match Review Committee following Saturday night’s win over the Cronulla Sharks.

Kikau received a grade one charge for a shoulder charge on Connor Tracey in the 74th minute of the Round 19 match, however only faces a monetary penalty.

The Panthers forward will be eligible to face the Eels on Friday night at CommBank Stadium.

Meanwhile, Sharks forwards Dale Finucane faces three weeks on the sideline after he was hit with a grade three dangerous contact charge for his hit on Panthers centre Stephen Crichton.

The illegal tackle, which was not penalised, resulted in Crichton suffering a serious ear injury and concussion.

Finucane has entered a not guilty plea and will face the NRL Judiciary on Tuesday night.

Should Finucane be found guilty at the judiciary hearing, he will be suspended for three matches.
