Vale Ian McKechnie

Panthers wishes to acknowledge the recent passing of life member Ian McKechnie - Panther No.37.

Capable at centre and five-eighth, Ian made his first grade debut for Panthers as 18-year-old in 1968 and captained the club in 1971.

Ian was known as a loyal clubman during nine seasons in Panthers colours and finished his Penrith career with 68 first grade games and 119 points (nine tries, 46 goals).

In 1989 he was awarded life membership in recognition of his service to the club.

The sincere thoughts of everyone at Panthers are with Ian's family and friends at this time.
