Jennings signs new Panthers deal

Penrith Panthers is delighted to announce Robert Jennings has signed a one-year contract extension with the club.

The 25-year-old outside back has committed to Panthers until at least the end of the 2022 season.

"I'm humbled and blessed to have the opportunity to extend for another year," Jennings said.

"Everything about this club makes it the place I want to be moving forward.

"I have no doubt my best footy is still ahead of me and I'll be working hard every day to make it happen."

A local Minchinbury Jets junior who achieved his first grade debut at Panthers in 2015, Jennings has made two NRL appearances since returning to the club this season.

In nine games for the ladder-leading Panthers NSW Cup side he has scored five tries and averages over 160 running metres per game.

"Robert is a seasoned first grader who adds valuable depth and experience to our squad," Panthers General Manager Rugby League Matt Cameron said.

"Although he's had limited NRL opportunities so far this season, he's shown us that he is more than capable at that level.

"Quality players like Robert help maintain the competitive tension within our NRL squad, which ultimately brings the best out in everyone."
