Burton cops high tackle charge

Panthers centre Matt Burton has been issued a careless high tackle charge by the NRL Match Review Committee following Saturday's victory over the Sea Eagles.

Burton has been charged with a grade one careless high tackle for contact on Sea Eagles forward Martin Taupau in the second half of the game at Carrington Park.

The 21-year-old faces a monetary penalty only and is free to play against Cronulla Sharks on Friday.
