Luai cops dangerous contact charge

Panthers playmaker Jarome Luai has been charged with dangerous contact following Friday's victory over Melbourne Storm.

The NRL Match Review Committee has charged Luai with grade one dangerous contact (head/neck) for a 78th minute tackle on Melbourne's Felise Kaufusi.

Given his clean record, Luai will escape suspension with an early guilty plea (75 points) but faces a one-match ban (100 points) if found guilty.

The club has until 12pm Sunday to enter a plea to the charge.

The Panthers next face South Sydney Rabbitohs at Campbelltown Stadium on Thursday night.
