Take the Pledge and become part of Panthers history

Today we are asking our 2020 members to consider pledging their membership to the club.

Taking the pledge means contributing your full 2020 membership fee in support of the club, regardless of what happens for the remainder of this NRL season. In return, we offer a piece of Panthers history and a shot at an incredible prize.

We understand that being a member represents a significant financial commitment for many of you. We do not underestimate what we are asking of you in taking the pledge.

That’s why, while most NRL clubs have asked their members to pledge already and without reward, we took our time to ensure we could offer you something truly meaningful for doing so.

TAKE THE PLEDGE TODAY

MEMBERS ROLL OF HONOUR

Every Panthers member who takes the pledge will join the Members Roll of Honour. The list of names will represent those who stood by the club in its time of greatest need.

It will exist as a permanent installation in the reception area of the Panthers Rugby League Academy, flanked by the Players Roll of Honour and two premiership trophies. That positioning is indicative of the prestige with which the Members Roll of Honour will be regarded. It will not be a temporary recognition. The names on that wall will be forever etched in Panthers history.

Those who take the pledge will be invited to an exclusive Members Roll of Honour Launch Party at the Academy, once government restrictions are eased later this year. It will be a chance to mingle with the Panthers players and staff and of course get a photo with your name on the wall. Most importantly it will be our opportunity to say ‘thank you’ in person.

THE ULTIMATE $20K OUTDOOR RENO

Every member who takes the pledge before Tuesday 2 June goes in the running to win The Ultimate $20K Outdoor Reno, thanks to the generous support of proud corporate partner MKJ Projects.

The winner will receive a tailored makeover of their back or front yard, valued at up to $20,000.

The number of entries each member receives in the prize draw will be based on the value of their membership pledge.

While geographical limitations mean only Sydney-based members will be eligible to win this prize a framed and signed 2020 Panthers jersey is up for grabs for those who live outside the areas mentioned below.

The borders of the Sydney Metropolitan Area are defined as the Hawkesbury/Nepean River in the north/north west, and the outer boundaries of the City of Blue Mountains, Camden Council, the City of Campbelltown and Sutherland Shire.

WHAT DIFFERENCE CAN I MAKE?

The support of our members will help define the Panthers club that emerges from this crisis. Even as the NRL competition resumes, the devastating financial impact still being felt by Panthers Group means what our club can be moving forward is uncertain.

We face many difficult questions in the immediate future.

  • How much of what we have built over the last decade will we be able to salvage and how much will have to be sacrificed?
  • Will the next generation of local juniors still have access to elite programs and pathways to the NRL?
  • Can Panthers still run sides in all age groups or will we have to watch those local juniors pull on other club's colours?
  • Can Panthers continue to support Country Rugby League and sustain the club's development programs in central west NSW?
  • Will Panthers still be able to offer the cheapest jerseys and some of the most affordable memberships in the NRL?

We don't have answers for these questions as we sit here today. But one thing is certain - your pledge will make a genuine difference in what Panthers can and will be moving forward.

Taking the pledge is the greatest gift you can give our club and we hope you appreciate what we can offer you in return.
