Panthers coach Ivan Cleary has named a 26-man squad to travel to Bega for the Battle of the West against Parramatta Eels on Saturday.

The squad heads south on Wednesday, with the Sapphire Coast community invited to meet and mingle with the team at the Merimbula Lakeview Hotel from 6.45pm.

The players will visit schools across the region on Thursday, followed by clinics and NRL State of Mind presentations in Pambula and Eden.

On Thursday evening the squad will spend time with local volunteers and first responders at Heroes Meet Heroes events in Bemboka and Eden.

The community is invited to watch the Panthers complete Captain's Run at Bega Recreation Ground from 9am on Friday, with the players available for photos and autographs at the end of the session.
