Gameday Guide: Panthers v Roosters

Sunday afternoon footy returns to Penrith as the Panthers host the defending premiers Sydney Roosters on Sunday 9 June.

Members and fans will be able to see all three grades take the field, with the high-flying Panthers Jersey Flegg side kicking off the action at 12pm.

JUNIOR LEAGUE APPRECIATION DAY

Gameday will see Panthers recognise the 11,000 players, coaches and volunteers participating in the Penrith District Junior Rugby League. 600 representatives from the 24 clubs will complete a lap of honour prior to NRL kick-off.

POST GAME EVENT

Members and fans will have the chance to meet the Panthers in TC's Backyard at Panthers Penrith following the game, from approximately 7pm. Bring your jersey to get signed, grab a selfie and have a chat with your favourite Panthers.

The meet and greet is part of the Winterfest Long Weekend Family Carnival which will include a fireworks display at 7.30pm. Click here for more information.

WESTFUND PHOTO BOOTH

Visit the Westfund activation team in the West Precinct from 1pm. If your happy snap makes it onto the big screen at half-time, you walk away with a $100 Panther Shop voucher. 

M4 ROAD CLOSURE

Fans are encouraged to catch public transport to the game with Penrith train station only a 10-minute walk from the Panthers Stadium and services running every 15 minutes in both directions. Buses also run regularly to Penrith, stopping near Panthers Stadium.

Anyone driving to the game is reminded to allow extra travel time as the M4 Motorway will be closed in both directions at The Northern Road, South Penrith, for scheduled roadwork. Motorists will be diverted to the Great Western Highway and heavy traffic is expected. The M4 Motorway will be closed from 9pm Friday 7 June until 4am Tuesday 11 June. Panthers fans of all ages will be entertained with the best carnival rides coming to Kidz Korner. The Ferris Wheel, Pirate Ship, Swinging Chair Ride, Tiger Castle and the Storm are FREE for kids of all ages. Don't forget the FREE face painting!
