Maloney facing suspension for late hit

Panthers playmaker James Maloney is set to be suspended after copping a grade one dangerous contact charge arising from Friday's defeat to New Zealand Warriors.

With 70 carry-over points from a previous charge, Maloney is looking at a one-game suspension with the early guilty plea.

The charge resulted from a late hit on Warriors five-eighth Kodi Nikorima in the 50th minute of the game at Panthers Stadium.
