Katoa charged with dangerous contact

Panthers hooker Sione Katoa has been charged with grade one dangerous contact for a collision in Friday's defeat to South Sydney at Panthers Stadium.

Katoa's knees appeared to make contact with Dane Gagai as the Rabbitohs centre touched down for a try in the 73rd minute of the game.

A clean record means Katoa will not miss a game with an early guilty plea (75 points) but an unsuccessful challenge will result in a one-match ban (100 points).

A tackle on Sam Burgess which was penalised as a crusher tackle did not attract a charge from the Match Review Committee.
