Injury Update: James Maloney

Scans have revealed the full extent of the knee injury suffered by Panthers playmaker James Maloney in the win against Gold Coast Titans on Saturday.

Maloney suffered a grade two medial ligament injury in the final moments of the first half, before finishing the game.

The 32-year-old will be sidelined indefinitely at this stage but is hopeful of returning to lead the Panthers in the finals.

Maloney's replacement in the Panthers side to face Newcastle Knights will be revealed when coach Cameron Ciraldo names his squad on Tuesday afternoon.
