Hetherington charged with dangerous contact

Panthers forward Jack Hetherington faces at least a week on the sideline after being charged with dangerous contact in the win against St George-Illawarra Dragons.

Hetherington received a Grade One Dangerous Contact charge for grabbing the leg of Dragons prop Paul Vaughan in the 57th minute of Saturday's game at Panthers Stadium.

Jack Hetherington Charged

An early guilty plea will see Hetherington cop a one-week suspension, while an unsuccessful trip to the judiciary will see him spend two weeks on the sideline.

The Panthers next face Canberra Raiders at GIO Stadium, two days after the first State of Origin clash.
