Panthers forward Trent Merrin won Club Person of the Year at the 2017 Merv Cartwright Medal on Wednesday night.

In 2017 Merrin volunteered his time to help the next generation of Panthers stars coming through the club's Junior Elite Training Scheme program.

He took centre stage at school visits, ran his own giveaways for the members and fans, and was always generous with his time after games and at members events.
