Panthers forward Trent Merrin has received a late call to join the NSW Blues squad ahead of Origin II at ANZ Stadium on Wednesday night.
Jack De Belin was last night ruled out due to suspension, meaning the Blues required another forward to join the squad as cover.
Along with Panthers teammate Matt Moylan, Merrin will be at ANZ Stadium and ready to step in should any of the NSW players pick up a knock during warm-up.
