Scans on Monday morning have revealed the full extent of injuries suffered by Peter Wallace and Bryce Cartwright in the Panthers victory against Newcastle.

Wallace suffered a grade two adductor (groin) tear which unfortunately puts him out of contention for the State of Origin opener next Wednesday.

The Panthers hooker is expected to spend between four and six weeks on the sideline.

Meanwhile Cartwright has been diagnosed with a lateral meniscus tear in his left knee. He will meet with a surgeon later this week to determine whether surgery is required.
