The Panthers SG Ball side are set for a finals showdown with the Sharks after a strong finish to the regular season.

With seven wins from eight games, the Panthers finished equal top-of-the-table with Cronulla, Parramatta and the Bulldogs.

However they had to settle for fourth place on points differential and will face the Sharks in a qualifying final at Leichhardt Oval on Saturday.

The two teams met earlier this month at Southern Cross Group Stadium and the Panthers handed Cronulla a 24-18 defeat - their only loss of the regular season.
