A quartet of Panthers spread some smiles visiting young Panthers fan Josh Carter at Westmead Children's Hospital on Tuesday.

10-year-old Josh, who lives in St Clair, was hospitalised at Westmead after suffering a stroke last month.

To help raise his spirits, four of his favourite Panthers - Matt Moylan, Reagan Campbell-Gillard, Trent Merrin and Isaah Yeo - decided to pay him a surprise visit after training.

They spent half an hour chatting with Josh and his family, before giving him some belated birthday gifts of Panthers merchandise and signed posters.

The Panthers then walked the ward for another hour, visiting a number of children and their families, posing for selfies and handing out more gifts.
