Panthers on the Prowl teacher Venetia Lovett today received a 2017 Women of Lindsay Award in recognition of her tremendous service to education.

Ms Lovett was presented with the award by Lindsay MP Emma Husar at the 2017 International Women's Day Breakfast at Penrith RSL.

Ms Lovett has worked as a teacher in the Panthers on the Prowl classroom since the community development foundation's inception 15 years ago.

In that time she has helped countless young people from across the Penrith region build their self-esteem while giving them the tools to become positive contributors in society.

The Panthers family extends its congratulations to Ms Lovett and also its sincere thanks for her tireless work with Panthers on the Prowl.
