Panthers recruit James Tamou had an impressive season for the Cowboys in 2016 - but how do his numbers stack up?

NRL GAMES: 25

TRIES: 2

METRES: 3284m (347 runs)
Trent Merrin was the only Panthers forward to achieve more running metres in 2016. The best-performing Panthers prop in this regard was Leilani Latu with 2256m (270 runs).

TACKLES: 656 completed + 20 missed tackles = 97% efficiency
Only three Panthers players made more tackles in 2016 - Peter Wallace, Trent Merrin and Bryce Cartwright - but none came close to Tamou's efficiency.

TACKLEBREAKS: 31
No Panthers prop beat this figure, although Leilani Latu came close with 27.

OFFLOADS: 21
While Bryce Cartwright (77) and Trent Merrin (56) achieved huge offload numbers in 2016, the best-performing prop was Leilani Latu with 13.

ERRORS: 6
Given Tamou's large number of carries, the only Panthers forward with a comparable statistic is Trent Merrin, who also made six errors in 2016.

PENALTIES CONCEDED: 16
A comparable figure to that of the Panthers with similar tackle counts. Bryce Cartwright (679 tackles) conceded 15 penalties in 2016, while Isaah Yeo (655 tackles) gave away 12.
