The Panthers have been dumped out of the ISP finals series with a 21-14 defeat to the Warriors at Mt Smart Stadium on Sunday.

The visitors fell behind 14-0 early with Warriors fullback Henare Wells claiming a quickfire double in the opening 10 minutes.

However a converted try to Chris Aunese-Scanlon on the cusp of halftime put some life back into the contest.

After the break the Panthers narrowed the gap with a converted try to Atonio Pelesasa, before drawing level at 14-14 courtesy of a Zach Dockar-Clay penalty goal.

However the Warriors hit back through Matt Allwood and capped off the victory with a field goal to Mason Lino in the closing moments.

The Warriors progress to the second week of the finals series and a showdown with Newtown, while the season is over for the Panthers.
