Panthers prop Sam McKendry will miss Sunday's showdown with the Sharks after being found guilty of contrary conduct by the NRL Judiciary.
The judiciary deemed McKendry's contact with referee Jared Maxwell during the win over the Roosters was sufficient for the charge to be proven.
The guilty verdict means McKendry receives a total of 150 penalty points and will serve a one match suspension.
An early guilty plea would have also seen the Panthers prop miss Sunday's match, due in part to 41 carry-over points from a previous high tackle charge this season.
Jeremy Latimore, who played for the Panthers in the Intrust Super Premiership NSW last weekend, is expected to step up in McKendry's absence.
