Penrith Panthers can confirm centre Dean Whare will be sidelined for between four and six weeks after suffering a calf injury in last week's loss to the Bulldogs.

The injury is unfortunately a fresh tear and not a re-occurence of the previous calf issue Whare suffered in February.
The New Zealand international has already commenced rehabilitation work with hopes of returning to the field next month.
