After a season where his speed, skill and versatility came to the fore, Will Smith has won 2015 NSW Cup Player of the Year.

Smith made his impact at fullback this season with a string of outstanding performances at the back end of the season. He took the opportunity with both hands and finished the season with back-to-back tries against Canberra and Newcastle. His excellent form landed him a contract extension with Penrith, signing on until the end of the 2016 season.

However his year began in the NSW Cup, where he proved to be a dangerous attacking weapon from fullback, the halves and even the centres.
